Greg Paterson OAM (1968-1980) Music Teacher, Musician, Star Struck Musical Director Motivational teacher and performer; left Jesmond High in mid 1980, to take up a consulting position followed by a teaching appointment at Belmont High. Musical Director of Star Struck from 1993 until he retired from teaching in 2007.

A flamboyant teacher with bright hair and her trademark array of big glasses; creator of JHS 'Fun Days' - Bush Picnic, Happy Days, Blast Out.
Michelle Gosper (1988-1997 & 2003-2004) Drama Teacher, Star Struck, Drama Director, CONDA Judge Drama is her passion; created Hunter Youth Drama Ensemble. Now retired, Michelle is a Freelance Artistic Director, still involved in Star Struck and is also one of 5 City of Newcastle Drama Awards (CONDA) judges.
Brien McVernon (2003-2010) Music Teacher Musician Internationally acclaimed music artist who has worked throughout the region in various bands. Supporter of the 'Love, Hope, Strength Foundation' travelling to Peru for a 10 day journey up the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu followed by a concert celebration in Lima, The City of Kings.
