At the 50th Anniversary celebrations, the inaugral JHS Alumni Scholarships were presented to Jessica Phua and Kate Huges. Jessica had been selected to attend the National Youth Science Forum in Canberra in January 2007 and Kate the 21st World Scount Jamboree in England in July 2007.
